She & Him Forever: A Personalised Bridal Veil Inspired by Love & Mumbai.
Every custom bridal veil we create begins with a story, and Sherebanu’s was one filled with simple moments that became lifelong memories.

Designed as a personalised wedding veil for her Indian wedding, this couture piece celebrates her journey with Ebrahim through meaningful embroidery. From coffee dates, hidden cafés and scooter rides through Mumbai to sunsets by the sea, football, sunflowers, and the iconic Bandra-Worli Sea Link, every motif represents a chapter of their relationship.
One of the most heartfelt details is the phrase “You are my Yellow,” inspired by the Coldplay song that became their song after watching the band perform live together. Their personal hashtag, #She&HimForever, was also hand embroidered, making this veil truly one of a kind.
Handcrafted by our artisans using fine embroidery techniques, this luxury bridal veil was designed not only to complement the bride’s outfit but to preserve her love story for generations.
Whether you’re an Indian bride, an NRI bride, or looking for a bespoke bridal veil that tells your story, we believe your wedding accessories should be as meaningful as the day itself.
Their Story
Some love stories are built on grand gestures.
Others are built on everyday moments that quietly become everything.
When Sherebanu came to us, she didn’t ask us to create a floral veil or a decorative border. She wanted something far more personal—a veil that could tell the story of her relationship with Ebrahim without needing a single explanation.
Every illustration, every stitch and every embroidered detail would represent a piece of the life they had built together.
Because sometimes the smallest memories become the biggest part of a marriage.

Long-distance calls.
Coffee dates.
Discovering hidden cafés around Mumbai.
Scooter rides through familiar streets.
Supporting each other’s careers.
Watching sunsets after long days.
Finding comfort in conversations that never seemed to end.
Sherebanu described their relationship as one built on companionship. They both loved exploring new places, even if it was simply another café around the corner. They loved travelling, but equally cherished ordinary evenings spent sharing food or walking beside the sea.
One memory stood above the rest.
Watching Coldplay perform Yellow live beneath the stars.
That evening became a symbol of their relationship.
“He is my yellow. The sunshine in my life, my calm and my joy.”
It became one of the emotional anchors of the entire veil.
Turning Memories into Embroidery
Rather than arranging decorative florals around the veil, we designed an illustrated landscape made entirely from meaningful symbols.
Every motif was intentionally chosen.
A café represented countless conversations shared over coffee.
Coffee cups symbolised their favourite ritual together.
Slices of pizza reflected their spontaneous food adventures.
A paper aeroplane celebrated both travel and long-distance love.
The scooter became a reminder of carefree rides through the city they both call home.
Sunflowers represented Sherebanu herself—bright, joyful and full of warmth.
The football celebrated Ebrahim’s passion for the sport.
The Bandra-Worli Sea Link stood proudly at the centre of the composition, representing Mumbai—the city that became part of their love story.
A sunset over the sea captured peaceful evenings spent together.
Even the hashtag #She&HimForever, inspired by the playful blend of their names, became part of the embroidery, making the veil uniquely theirs.
Together, these illustrations created something that looked less like individual motifs and more like pages from a shared journal.
Designed with Balance
Although the veil carries many memories, it was important that it never felt crowded.
The illustrations were composed as one continuous visual journey along the border, allowing each memory room to breathe while naturally leading the eye across the design.
Large architectural elements, such as the Sea Link, were balanced with delicate details like birds, handwritten lettering, hearts and tiny travel-inspired illustrations.
The result feels light, elegant and intentional, ensuring the embroidery complements the bride rather than overwhelming her.
This balance is what transforms storytelling into couture.
Crafted by Hand
Once the design was finalised, our artisans translated every illustration into hand embroidery using fine metallic techniques.
Each outline was embroidered individually, preserving the sketch-like quality of the original artwork while adding texture and luminosity.
Sequins were carefully introduced into the sunflower to create a subtle focal point, while delicate beadwork added depth without distracting from the illustrations themselves.
The entire border was finished with a softly scalloped edge, giving the veil a romantic silhouette while framing the story beneath.
Every stitch was completed by hand.

More Than a Bridal Veil
When we finally revealed the completed veil, Sherebanu wrote:
“The veil looks soooo beautiful. I can’t wait to wear it on my BIG day! Thank you so so much for putting in so much love, effort and detail into creating this for me. It truly feels special and exactly what I had imagined—actually even better.”
There are moments like this that remind us why we create concept veils.
Because years from now, this veil won’t simply remind them of their wedding day.
It will remind them of coffee dates, scooter rides, sunsets over Mumbai, singing Yellow together under the stars, and all the beautifully ordinary moments that became their forever.
At Sphinx, we believe the most meaningful couture isn’t just worn it remembers. And this veil was created to remember a love story, one stitch at a time.
